The Falcons, who lost in straight 25-18, 25-15, 25-11 sets, finished the year with a 5-24 overall record and a 0-16 slate in Mountain West Conference action. Volleyball Despite a season-high eight service aces, the Air Force volleyball team dropped a 3-1 match to San Diego State on Thursday, Nov. 20, in San Diego, Calif. The Falcons dropped the first two sets by 25-18 and 25-14 margins, before rallying to win the third set by a 25-17 mark. The Aztecs responded with a 25-8 victory in the fourth set to clinch the match and give retiring SDSU head coach Mark Warner a victory in his final home match. Volleyball The Air Force volleyball team wraps up the 2008 season this weekend with a pair of Mountain West Conference road matches. The Falcons will travel to San Diego, Calif., on Thursday, Nov. 20, and face San Diego State at 6 p.m. Air Force will then head to Las Vegas, Nev., to compete against UNLV on Saturday, Nov. 22, in a 1 p.m. match. Volleyball Junior Michelle Harrington did a little bit of everything for the Air Force volleyball team during its final home match of the 2008 season on Saturday, Nov. 15. Volleyball Despite a strong hitting performance from senior Jasamine Pettie, the Air Force volleyball team dropped a straight set match to New Mexico on Thursday, Nov. 13, at the Academy's Clune Arena. The Falcons fell in consecutive 25-12, 25-9 and 25-14 sets to the Lobos, who collected their 20th victory of the season (20-6) as Air Force fell to 5-21. Volleyball After a week off from competition, the Air Force volleyball team closes out the home portion of the 2008 schedule this weekend with a pair of Mountain West Conference matches.
