![]() Air Force Concludes Competition at Season-Opening Cowboy Open11/15/2008-Wrestling Led by placewinners Karl Oeser (Fr., Wichita, Kan.) and Stephen Crozier (Sr., Monona, Iowa), the Air Force wrestling team opened the 2008-09 season Saturday at the Cowboy Open, hosted by Wyoming. Oeser, competing in the Amateur Division, finished second at 184 pounds, while Crozier placed fourth in the Elite Division at 165 pounds. [+]Falcons Set to Kick Off 2008-09 Season with Blue-Silver Intrasquad Match10/31/2008-Wrestling The Air Force wrestling team will get its 2008-09 season off to a start this weekend, Nov. 2, when it hosts the annual Blue-Silver Intrasquad Match at 5:00 p.m. in Clune Arena. Bouts will be contested at all 10 weight classes to determine the Falcons' starting lineup heading into the season. Meanwhile, the JV team will see some action as well on Sunday, as it takes on the Academy Prep School at 3:00 p.m. [+]New entrance times for several sports at the Academy10/2/2008-Wrestling Doors to the Cadet Field House for ice hockey, women's basketball and wrestling will open one hour prior to the start of the contest this season instead of one and one-half hours as in past years. This change will not affect men's basketball, which will continue to open one and one-half hours prior to the start of the game like previous years.
