Ferry and Beaussart Named Academic All-MWC

Greg Ferry and Alex Beaussart have been named to the 2008 Academic All-Mountain West Conference team. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.

UNM Ends Falcons' Season at MWC Championships

The Air Force men's tennis team wrapped up its 2007-08 season Thursday with a 4-0 loss to New Mexico in the quarterfinals of the Mountain West Conference Championships at Fort Worth, Texas. With the victory, UNM (18-8) will play San Diego State in the semifinals, while the Falcons finished the season with a 10-15 record.

Falcons to Face UNM in First Round of MWC Championships

The Air Force men's tennis team will face New Mexico in the first round of the 2008 Mountain West Conference Championships on Thursday, April 24. The match will begin at 1 p.m. (CT) at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center on the TCU campus in Fort Worth, Texas. The pairings were relesed today by the conference office.

Despite winning the No. 1 doubles match, the Air Force men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to UNLV Friday in Las Vegas, Nev. Sophomore Brett Rodgers and freshman Taylor Soster defeated Elliott Wronski and Bryan Miller, 8-7 (7-4) at the top doubles spot.
