Hockey team welcomes 10 newcomers

USAFA, Colo. - The Air Force hockey team is proud to announce the 10 members of the Class of 2011. The Falcons welcome seven forwards, two defensemen and one goaltender. The class includes three players from California and Minnesota, two from Colorado and one from New York and North Dakota.

"This class is deep with 10 players who all experienced some success at the Junior "A" level," Serratore said. "It will be very interesting to see which players are able to take their game to the next level. I expect several to step in and contribute immediately."

Matt Becker, F (Moorhead, Minn.) - Played 20 games for the Fargo-Moorhead Jets of the North American Junior Hockey League last season ... Had four goals and six assists ... Older brother, Bryan, is a senior and three-year letterman as a forward on the Falcon hockey team.

Sean Bertsch, F (Woodland Park, Colo.) - Attended the USAFA Prep School in 2006-07 ... The prep school does not have a hockey team ... Played two years for the Billings Bulls of the North American Junior Hockey League ... 47 points (21-26-47) in 57 games in 2005-06 and 45 (18-27-45) points in 54 games in 2004-05.

Derrick Burnett, F (Corona, Calif.) - Played 58 games for the Okotoks Oilers of the Alberta Junior Hockey League in 2006-07 ... 61 points on 19 goals and 42 assists.

Owen Kelly, F (Morrisonville, N.Y.) - Played in 55 games for the Pembroke Lumber Kings of the Central Junior Hockey League in 2006-07 ... 24 goals and 25 assists for 49 points ... Had six assists in 15 playoff games last season.

Scott Kozlak, F (Duluth, Minn.) - Played in 36 games last season for the Southern Minnesota Express ... 12 goals and 14 assists for 26 points.

Tim Krystosek, G (Maple Grove, Minn.) - Played two years for the Bismarck Bobcats of the North American Junior Hockey League ... Played in 37 games in 2006-07 and had a record of 16-20-1 with a 3.50 goals-against average and a saves percentage of .900 ... In 2005-06, he played in 41 games and had a record of 24-11-2 with a 2.44 goals-against average and a .921 saves percentage.

Jacques Lamoureux, F (Grand Forks, N.D.) - Played at Northern Michigan in 2006-07 ... Due to NCAA transfer rules, Lamoureux is not eligible to play in 2007-08 ... Played in 16 games and had one goal and one assist ... Played two years for the Bismarck Bobcats of the North American Junior Hockey League (2004-05 and 2005-06) ... Played in 100 games in two years and had 112 points (53-59-112).

Blake Page, F (Capistrano Beach, Calif.) - Played 43 games for the Bay State Breakers of the Eastern Junior Hockey League ... Had 20 goals and 25 assists for 45 points.

Brad Sellers, D (Centennial, Colo.) - Played two years for the Springfield Blues of the North American Junior Hockey League ... 23 points (5-18-23) in 57 games last season ... Nine points (0-9-9) in 57 games in 2005-06.

Kevin Wright, D (San Jose, Calif.) - Played two seasons with the Southern Minnesota Express of the North American Junior Hockey League ... Eight points in 60 games in 2006-07 and seven points in 27 games in 2005-06.
