Brian Boardman Named MWC Scholar-AthleteBrian Boardman was one of 506 student-athletes to be named to the Mountain West Conference Scholar-Athlete, the league announced this afternoon (June 23). Boardman, a native of Naperville, Ill., graduated at the end of May with a 3.58 grade-point-average in mathematics. It is the second consecutive season that Boardman has been honored by the MWC. 
Greg Stine Named MVP as Falcons Hand Out Team AwardsThe Air Force men's gymnastics program handed out its 2008 team awards at the annual end-of-season banquet earlier this week (April 30). Senior All-American Greg Stine was the top award-winner, being named the Most Valuable Player. In addition, three other Falcons received recognition from head coach Kip Simons. 
Kip Simons Named NCAA West Region Coach of the YearAir Force men's gymnastics coach Kip Simons was named the NCAA West Region Coach of the Year at the awards presentation that runs in conjunction with the 2008 NCAA Championships in Palo Alto, Calif. It is the second such distinction of the year for Simons, as he was also named the USAG Coach of the Year in late March.

Senior Brian Boardman, junior Jacob Schonig and sophomore Brennan Wolford were the Falcons' representatives on the all-academic squad.
